Description of Service Opportunity:
The FMA Lead Tutor(s) will:
-Collaborate with school-based colleagues to refer scholars to the program, based on academic need.
-Support the planning and scheduling of tutors who will be assigned to selected scholars in CPS programming 3-8..
-Co-plan the program structure and activities with the Site Coordinator, who will oversee the day to day logistics of the tutoring program.
-Supply student assessment data, and align (ELA/MATH) lessons to support the tutor as necessary.
-Collaborate with the ELA and Math Departments using ELA and Math department-approved, student-appropriate research/evidence-based materials for students.
-Participate as needed in the district team meetings to support the consistency of programming district-wide.
=All staff will receive training around the program’s data collection programming and research/evidence-based methodologies. Initial orientation dates will be provided with the hiring offer. Additional training dates and times will be determined based on site tutors' professional development needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Priority will be given to FMA Coaches
Preferred Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
Preferred Reading Licensure and/or Special Education Moderate Licensure and/or Severe Special
Needs Licensure and/or General Education Licensure
Data collection is required. Progress Monitoring and attendance recording is required.
Providing Data (academic and attendance) to the School-Based Administrator and District Liaison weekly is required, and inputting to MTSS/Screener District Data Collection Systems.
Parent/Family scheduling and outreach are required.
Communication with the school-based administrator regarding late bus scheduling and before school scheduling is required.
Experience in Fast Bridge and iReady assessments and personalized learning a plus
Training will be provided in IReady Personalized Learning and MClass-connected Lessons (including educator-delivered lessons) as needed
Priority will be given to regularly appointed teachers from Cambridge Public School District.
Educators with developmental reading experience and foundational knowledge of the Science of Reading will be given priority.
Length of Contract:
October 22, 2024 through January 17, 2025
Contract Amount:
$60.00 per hourly, Not to exceed $2000.00
