Putnam Avenue Upper School Community:

The Putnam Avenue Upper School is an innovative public middle school in the Cambridge Public Schools. We are looking for a dynamic, committed educator with solid content and pedagogical knowledge, solid classroom management skills, a deep commitment to social justice, and experience working in urban schools.

The Role:

The Putnam Avenue Upper School is seeking to hire an exceptional teacher to join our team as a math teacher. The math teacher will be responsible for the instruction of grade-level math Common Core content and practice standards in accordance with the district curriculum map. All instruction will be facilitated within a heterogeneous classroom using flexible grouping. The successful candidate will have experience planning, implementing, and adapting curriculum based on the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework for Mathematics and the associated mathematical practice standards. Leveraging a strong belief that all students are capable of achieving at the highest levels, they will provide multiple access points and scaffolding within instruction and assessment for a wide range of learners.
