The Chinese Language Assessment Specialist will administer language proficiency tests upon enrollment at the Student Registration Center (SRC). The candidate will successfully:
- Administer Chinese language proficiency tests to JK/K students who are enrolling in CPS
- Maintain accurate testing and student record information
- Maintain student/family confidentiality
- Maintain accurate student testing data and ELL enrollment records/information
- Perform other duties as determined by the Coordinator of English Language Learner Programs

Minimum Requirements:

The Language Assessment Specialist will be experienced in the administration of the Chinese Language Assessment for JK/K students. In addition, the candidate will be effective in working with immigrant families and creating an environment that fosters mutual respect and cultural sensitivity.

- Required education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in ESL, Bilingual Education, or a foreign language
- Experience using WIDA and IPT language assessments
- Native fluency in Mandarin and proficiency in English.

Length of Contract:

October 4, 2024 through November 1, 2024

Contract Amount:

$35.00 per hourly, not to exceed $1452.50
